True, it is a different experience going for dinner with a 2 1/2 year old – not quite as romantic as going out just with your man but I love going with the whole family, especially on a Sunday afternoon. Last weekend we went to Wagamama on South King Street. It was the second time we went with Ben and I was extremely happy that it was just as relaxed as the first time.

Staff is very child friendly, crayons and paper arrive the moment you sit down at the table, no need to ask for a highchair because it’s already there before you can even think of asking. They have a special kid’s menu with rice/noodle and chicken dishes as well as a vegetarian option. I just love the combination of Ben eating super healthy food (soy beans, rice, chicken, prawn dumplings, fruit…) and the thought that he gets to know all these different tastes so early on – plus it’s a treat for mum and dad.
